Our patented fluorescence-based technology detects bacterial contamination in less than 15 mins, delivering lab-grade accuracy at the waterside without the need for the lab. Compact, field-deployable and cost-efficient, it enables instant decision-making for water users, water companies, river trusts, coastal authorities, aquaculture, tourism, and environmental regulators worldwide.

Revenue producing

We’re now scaling from successful sales in the UK into full commercial deployment in the US, UK and Europe. The demand is clear: authorities and industries need fast, credible microbial intelligence to protect public health, reduce environmental breaches, and prevent costly shutdowns.

We have appointed a US distributor and a distributor in Scandinavia to expand our global presence.

Having made £1,100,000 of income with the existing product Bacterrsk in the last 5 years we launched our game changing product Bactiquick in May 2025 and this product has advantages that have become clear to our customer base.

Turnover in 2025 in the US was just £25k. In 2026 we are already targeting sales in the range of £350k – £500k through a single regional distributor.

The raise and the exit

Molendotech is raising a £500k pre-Series A round to accelerate manufacturing, expand UK and US sales, and build out our environmental intelligence platform. The value inflection points are clear in 2026 and that is why we will have a series A in 2027. We will build out our distributor network world wide with at least 6 agents, have enough data in strategic areas to prove our SaaS intelligence network and produce a Subscription level of water quality data and plan to have an exit event in 2030

The recurring revenue from our test kits (the consumable) provides the much more significant income contribution compared to the one-off hardware income.

A serious strategic acquirer is already engaging with the board.

We have soft pledges of £200k from existing investors and that includes a £50k pledge from our new US distributor.
